Founding and Early Vision
African Diaspora of Maryland Inc. was founded in 2024 by a group of passionate individuals of African descent living in Maryland. The founders recognized the need for a unified platform that could foster a sense of belonging, pride, and shared identity among the African Diaspora in the region. With a strong belief in the power of community, African Diaspora of Maryland was established to create cultural, educational, and social opportunities that would empower the African community and inspire future generations.
